Lisbon to Host the World Anti-Bullying Forum 2027
The World Anti-Bullying Forum (WABF) is proud to announce that its next global gathering will be held in Lisbon, Portugal, September 9–11, 2027, hosted by the Faculty of Psychology at the University of Lisbon.
Following the success of previous forums in Stockholm, Dublin, Raleigh and Stavanger, the upcoming forum will bring together researchers, educators, policymakers, practitioners, youth representatives, and civil society leaders to share knowledge and strengthen international collaboration in the prevention of bullying and the promotion of safe and inclusive environments for children and young people.
“We are thrilled to bring the World Anti-Bullying Forum to Lisbon,” said Frida Warg, Managing Director of the World Anti-Bullying Forum. “Lisbon’s vibrant academic community and commitment to inclusion and human rights make it the perfect host city. Together, we will continue to build bridges between research, policy, and practice to make sure knowledge leads to action.”
“It is an honour for the Faculty of Psychology of the University of Lisbon to welcome such an important international event,” added Paula da Costa Ferreira from the Faculty of Psychology. “Together, we will advance research and action to create safer and more nurturing environments for all children and youth,” said Alexandra Marques Pinto, also from the Faculty of Psychology.
The program will feature keynote presentations, scientific sessions, workshops, panels, posters, round tables and interactive lounges with exhibitions addressing bullying from multidisciplinary and international perspectives.
We look forward to welcoming the global bullying prevention community to Lisbon!

Pre-Conference Course WITH Olweus Bullying Prevention Program
Ahead of the main Forum, delegates are invited to attend a pre-conference course delivered by the Olweus Bullying Prevention Program (OBPP): the School Coach Course.
The OBPP School Coach Course prepares professionals to train and support schools in implementing OBPP. School Coaches work within their own school or district, providing training and ongoing coaching to the school’s Bullying Prevention Coordinating Committee (BPCC) — the leadership team that guides OBPP implementation.
The course includes 22 hours of interactive instruction, followed by individualised consultation with an OBPP Mentor for 18 months after the course ends. Once trained, School Coaches go on to provide ongoing support to participating schools for at least 12 months, helping to strengthen and sustain effective OBPP implementation over time.
Who Should Attend
This course is aimed at School Counsellors, Student Services Personnel, Behavioural Specialists, and other professionals who support schools in preventing and responding to bullying.
