Maria José D. Martins

Maria José D. Martins is a Coordinator Professor at the School of Education and Social Sciences, Portalegre Polytechnic University (ESECS-IPP). She holds a degree in Psychology, a Master’s in Educational Sciences, and a Doctorate in Psychopedagogy from the University of Extremadura, Spain, as well as a Post-doctorate in Educational Psychology from the University of Lisbon. She is an integrated member of the Research Center on Health and Social Sciences (CARE) at Portalegre Polytechnic University and collaborates with the Education and Training Research Unit at the Institute of Education, University of Lisbon. She coordinates the Master’s program in Education and Protection of Children and Young People at Risk at ESECS-IPP. Her research focuses on bullying, cyberbullying, vulnerable children and adolescents, inclusion, citizenship education, and social, moral, and emotional development.
