Amanda Nickerson

Amanda Nickerson is a SUNY Distinguished Professor at the University at Buffalo and founding Director of the university’s Alberti Center for Bullying Abuse Prevention. A co-developer of the PREPaRE school-crisis model used widely across the United States, she is the author of Cyberbullying: Helping Children Navigate Digital Technology and Social Media (Wiley, 2025). Known as a scientist-practitioner with a particular gift for translating research into concrete guidance for educators, Nickerson speaks regularly at international conferences on school-based prevention and the role of peer and social norms.
