World Anti-Bullying Forum Welcomes BRP as Main Sponsor
Norway, March 20, 2025 – Norwegian Centre for Learning Environment and Research in Education (Centre for Learning Environment) is proud to announce that BRP, a global leader in the world of powersports products, will be the main sponsor for the upcoming World Anti-Bullying Forum (WABF) in June 2025.
WABF 2025, powered by BRP, is an international conference that brings together 700 leading researchers, practitioners, policymakers, educators, and youth from over 50 countries. Representing various disciplines such as education, psychology, sociology, and more, participants collaborate to enhance the understanding of bullying and violence against children and youth.
“Nearly one in three children worldwide reports being bullied—a staggering figure that translates to over 80,000 children only in Norway alone. With BRPs support WABF 2025 will bring together leading professionals from various fields and roles in anti-bullying efforts. This will enhance our common understanding and strengthen the impact of the work against bullying worldwide” says Dag Jostein Nordaker, Director of Centre of Learning Environment and WABF 2025 organizer.
Headquartered in Valcourt, Quebec, Canada, BRP collaborates with various organizations worldwide through its global Ride Out Intimidation program launched in 2022. The company believes in the importance of taking collective action to build a world where everyone feels safe and respected.
“BRP is proud to team up with the World Anti-Bullying Forum for the second edition in a row. We understand the significance of bringing together key stakeholders from all over the world to tackle this important social issue and find solutions to support individuals affected by bullying in their daily lives ,” says Elise Auvachez-Millot, Vice-President, Public Affairs, Government Relations and Corporate Social Responsibility. “At BRP, we strongly believe that by uniting experts and organizations, we can lead the way for meaningful change and work collectively to ride out intimidation in our communities.”
WABF 2025 will be hosted in Stavanger, Norway, from June 11 to 13, 2025. The event will feature keynote speakers from three continents, and Norway’s Minister of Education will officially open the conference. Researchers, practitioners, policymakers, and educators will contribute with nearly 300 posts on the program. These events will facilitate collaboration and knowledge-sharing in the fight against bullying of children and youth.
“Children worldwide have the right to safe and positive learning environments, free from bullying and intimidation. Quality research and targeted efforts against bullying are essential in achieving our common goal of fostering joy, friendships, inclusion, and diversity. As organizers, we are proud that BRP recognizes the value in WABF. With their support the conference will have a significant impact on anti-bullying research and foster positive change within local communities and schools” Dag Jostein Nordaker states.
