Hosting the World Anti-Bullying Forum
The World Anti-Bullying Forum (WABF) is the largest global gathering dedicated to ending bullying, bringing together researchers, policymakers, practitioners, youth representatives, and other stakeholders every two years.
How a host is chosen
We welcome proposals from universities, organizations, and other stakeholders interested in hosting the World Anti-Bullying Forum. All proposals are carefully reviewed and evaluated, with the final decision made by the WABF headquarters at Friends in Sweden.
Hosts must present a strong vision, demonstrate solid organizational capacity, and fully commit to WABF’s values, including alignment with the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and the Sustainable Development Goals.
Key host responsibilities
- Organize a three-day event for at least 500 participants
- Appointing a local project manager
- Hold full responsibility for the forum’s finances and budget management
- Secure suitable venues and logistics
- Follow WABF’s communication guidelines
Eligibility
The host must be a legal entity with an active CSR strategy, long-term sustainability goals, aligning with international labour standards and have a proven commitment to children’s rights.
