BRNET–WABF Award 2025 goes to Dr. Peter Smith
The 2025 BRNET–WABF Career Achievement Award for Outstanding Research on Bullying has been awarded to Dr. Peter Smith, recognizing his exceptional contributions to the field.
Presented jointly by the Bullying Research Network and the World Anti-Bullying Forum, this award honors individuals who have made distinguished theoretical and/or empirical contributions to bullying research, are recognized as international leaders, and have actively fostered international collaborations.
The award ceremony took place at the 2025 World Anti-Bullying Forum in Stavanger, Norway. Sadly, Dr. Smith passed away before the event, but we were in contact with him and his family beforehand. He expressed great happiness and deep appreciation upon learning he would receive the award.
Dr. Smith’s long-standing commitment to advancing understanding of bullying and promoting evidence-based prevention has left a lasting impact on the global research community.
