About Friends

Friends is the leading force against bullying, working to ensure that every child grows up free from bullying, harassment and degrading treatment. Friends equips children and adults with the insights, skills, courage, and tools necessary to create meaningful change. Friends focuses on engaging and empowering adults at every level of society to act to prevent and reduce bullying. Friends works to increase knowledge and awareness about bullying, its consequences, and effective evidence-based interventions—in everyday life, in schools, online, and within sports. Friends provides advice and support for children and youth who have experienced bullying, and advocates towards decision-makers to strengthen children’s right to safety.

To end violence against and between children in accordance with the UN’s sustainable development goals, Friends chose to initiate the World Anti-Bullying Forum in 2017.
